This Balinese dance was coreographed in 1989 by Swasthi Widjaya Bandem and the music was written by I Nyoman Windha. This dance was premiered by 70 dancers at the opening of PERWOSI ("Persatuan Wanita Olahraga Seluruh Indonesia" translated: "Association of Women in Athletics throughout Indonesia").Kecak showcases a priest leading over 100 men in a choreographical presentation with beats coming from their chests and various body parts.
